DYSLEXIA

Dyslexia is not a disease but it is one of the disorders in learning that is usually experienced by children. Normal thinking but it has learning problem like reading, calculating, spelling and writing. Children with dyslexia problems will be difficult to communicate and it is difficult to say long word and it is difficult to learn the sequence such as moon and sifir names.

The features of children with dyslexia problems at pre - school level are slow to speak, difficult to write their own name, difficult to recognize shapes and colours and thought to tell stories they have heard. The nature of the children who experience dyslexia problem at the school level failing to master school assignment, do not like reading and avoiding reading in class, as well as mistakes when reading the word or number ( reverse reading ) such as “ was “ into “ saw “ , “ b “ becomes “ d “ and can not distinguish “ 15 “ with “ 51 “ .

Among the ways to overcome the problem of dyslexia children learning is through speech therapy, listening training with computer assistants. Besides that, through touch senses such as using sketches on sandpaper and using other senses to aid learning. Furthermore, through the hearing senses by using sound or word sounds can help the children in learning the letters as well.
